Dolpa Region is a part of Karnali Region of mid-western Nepal. It's headquarter is Dunai and to the center of this region is Shey Phoksundo National Park. Dolpa is surrounded by Dhaulagiri and Churen Himal ranges at the east and south while Jumla district surrounds to the west .
Dolpa is full of natural beauty. There are mainly remote and ancient village with rich wildlife and wonderful lakes. The snow caped mountains and captivating Buddhist monastries are some notable features of Dolpa Region .The culture and tradition here is similar to that of TIbetan. That's why this region is discribed as "Natural Hidden Wonders".
Trekking in Dolpa starts at Juphal , following the track to Dunai, and Tatrakot to the uppermost point of Dolpa trekking , Bang La camp. After passing through Sanu Bheri Village , as you descend forward you will reach to the splendid Shey Phoksundo Lake, a part of Shey Phoksundo National Park.
