We are Asaki Treks and Expedition, a trekking company based in Kathmandu, Nepal. We are a legally registered trekking company in Nepal and associated with reputable organizations such as Trekking Agency Association in Nepal (TAAN), Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), and the Nepal Government.
Asaki was founded by Thule Bahadur Rai (Chhiri Rai), who was born in Mahakulung Rural Municipality-5, Chachalung of Lower Solukhumbu, a remote part of the Solukhumbu district. Chhiri has been working in the field of tourism and hospitality for a long time, starting as a porter at a young age. Over the years, he worked his way up to become a trekking and mountaineering guide. With his dedication and hard work, he founded Asaki with the vision of improving tourism and economic conditions in local communities in rural areas and promoting the beauty of his motherland. Chhiri has led many groups as a trek leader, summited many peaks such as Lobuche Peak, Island Peak, and Mera Peak a few to mention as a mountaineering guide, and crossed many difficult passes on various trekking routes in Nepal.
Chhiri is a down-to-earth person who is passionate about helping the youth and people in his village by providing employment opportunities to the locals. He also strives to help people in his community generate income through tourism and improve the economic conditions of the people in remote parts of Nepal. He focuses on developing new trekking routes to publicize undiscovered regions.
