Arun Valley Mahakulung Culture - Mera Peak - Amphulapche Pass - Island Peak Climbing


Another best destination for spending your vacation can be Mera peak , Amphu Lapche pass and Island Peak Climbing where  Arun valley is rich in  Mahakulung Culture. Arun Valley is situated between the Everest and Makalu Trekking areas. This valley is abundent with flora and fauna with 650 species of birds and 800 species of butterflies recorded so far including endangered panda and Orchids flowers are seen on this quite jungle trail and swirl prayer flags at Shipton La reaching standered route from north involves glacier walking is Mera Peak, the highest of the permitted Nepalese trekking peaks. The senario of Mt. Everest , Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchanjunga is outstanding which makes Mera Peak a very popular destinaton. This journey takes you all the way to remote Himalayan region crossing the Amphu Lapche pass with really fascinating. This region is the hearthland of Khumbu Valley enriched with Sherpa culture. In the middle of Chhukung  Valley is Island Peak which is highly glaciated.

Overally, while the journey can be hard workout and extremly dangerous, its also exciting and facinating altogether.

Our company staffs will be there anytime you arrive Kathmandu to welcome you and take you to the designated hotel. There will be small briefing about the trip in the evening with welcome dinner. Overnight stay at hotel.
On this second day , we will take you to the Kathmandu tour where you will explore and learn the four UNESCO World heritage within the city which are the holy Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath stupa, Bauddhanath stupa and Kathmandu Durbar square. Overnight stay at hotel.
On this third day , we will fly about 25 min to Tumlingtar (5,10 m) gasping the sight of mountain and himalayan peaks on this short trip. After we reach Tumlingtar we will be driven to Tipchaur (520 m) by jeep/car through Chyawabensi (2,50 m) which is 3-4 hours of drive.
Today we will start trekking towards Salpa Phedi which has the evelation of 1,685 meter. It will take us around 6-7 hours as we trek.
As we leave Salpa Phedi we will head towards Salpa Pokhari (3,458 m) . This will take us like 6-7 hours of trek.
Today we will hike early morning to Silicho Danda (4156m m ). We will enjoy the sight of Everest Range, Makalu, Kanchanjunga, Cho yu from this viewpoint. After 3-4 hours we will return back to Salpa Pokhari.
On this day we will leave Salpa Pokhari to Gudel (1,910 m) via Kulupang (Salpa) Bhanjang (3395 m).
We will trek to Khiraule (2,380 m), for 6-7 hours .
Departing from Khiraule we asscend to Chlemkharka (3,200 m) . It takes about 5-6 hours of trekking.
Today is more exciting day as we will reach Panch Pokhari (4,400 m) and stay there for few moments as its amazing spot to relax and enjoy the view of this wonderful lake. Then we advance to KholaKharka (4,070 m). It will take about 6-7 hours of total trekking.
After the good rest we will trek to MosomKharka/ Kote (3,691 m) for 6-7 hours on the day .
We have some warm tea to keep our sprite up as we start our trek to Thagnag also Thangnak (4,356 m) . This will take about 3/4 hours of walk .
After many difficulties we have more hurdle today as we trek to Khare Camp (5,000m ) which also includes climbing up hill.
Today is an essential day as you will receive acclimatization and climbing training by your guide in this Khare Camp . Everything you need for climbing will be provided and explained the uses of them.
We resume trek early morning gradually walking 5/6 hours and reach Mera High camp.
Depending on the weather if its bad we will stay for next day in the same camp or in normal condition we will head to summit of Mera Peak (6,461 m).
We will reach the summit Mera Peak (6,461 m ) successfully and have few glance of the surrounding as its has better view. We will then continue our journey , reach Kogme Dingma (4,500 m).This journey is about 9-10 hours of trek.
We will continue our trekking for 5/6 hrs only to reach Seto Pokhari (5,035 m) .
Our trek will ascend to south of Amphulapche Base Camp (5,650 m). This trek is about 5/6 hours.
We will trek for 5/6 hrs vie famous Amphulapche Pass (5,800 m) and reach Imja Valley (approximately 4,800 m).
Following Amphulapcha La Pass , we head to Island Peak Base Camp (5,050 m) which will take about 9-10 hours of trekking.
This day is a glorious day for reaching our final destination after trekking and climbing snowy path and icy moutains we reach this famous summit of Island Peak (6,189 m). We have our picture taken by our folks as we spend our valuable moment to explore around. As we return back, we trek down to Chhukhung (4,730 m). This overall duration is 9/10 hours.
We will continue to trek down to Chhukhung to tenboche (3,860 m). This is 5/6 hours of span of time.
From Tengboche we decend to Namche Bazzar (3,440m) is 3/4 hrs of span.
We go Lukla Bazar (2,840 m) leaving Namche Bazar. This is 6/7 hours of trekking.
From Lukla , as we have the ticket pass , we will fly to Kathmandu via flight within 30 minutes as we reach there.
We take this day as a formal rest day after the harsh journey of our time. Overnight stay at hotel.
This will be the last day of your trip , as we will depart from here . Our Ashaki Treks team will drop you off the airport before 2-3 hours of flight hoping you had the exciting and satisfying journey here. From here you may go to your desired destination.
